How does Google work?
There are three main sections:
- Sponsored listings at the top and down the right hand side
- Local map listings
- Main organic section
Sponsored Sections
Sponsored sections, (shown in pink) are paid for adverts; these adverts are triggered when a searcher types in one of your keywords or phrases. If they click on your advert a dollar figure is deducted from your account balance. How much? Well it depends on your competition, and how your campaign is setup. Ultimately we try to ensure it’s as low as possible and as effective as it can be. More clicks, more traffic, more enquiries! So lets say you start the days advertising with a budget of $20, an averagely each click costs $0.50, after 40 clicks your adverts would stop showing until the following day when your balance is back to $20.
The benefit with this type of advertising is that you can have as many or as little keywords to trigger an advert for your company and it can be paused at anytime, there are no contracts whatsoever. We can schedule your adverts to show at certain times of the day, say between business hours 9am-5pm or maybe not on weekends. Map Listings
The next section highlighted in blue is the map listings; these are free for users to click to their hearts content and are a very valuable place to be. Organic listings
The listings here are websites that Google has chosen to put there because they are the most relevant to what you have just searched for. These can be manipulated, known as SEO or search engine optimisation. Again clicks here are free and very lucrative. We have various options to get your site here depending on your goals.
